Training Set - Deep Learning Dictionary

When preparing a network for training, we split our dataset between train, validation, and test sets, which are used to train, validate, and test the network at different stages prior to deployment.

The training set is exactly what it sounds like. It's the set of data we use to train a model. During each epoch, our model will be trained batch-by-batch over the entire training set.
